Agility Training Guide
An efficient guide to training Agility, from questing and rooftop courses to the Hallowed Sepulchre.
Agility training involves a lot of point-clicking and some methods may require a lot of focus to maximise experience gain. A higher Agility level increases one's ability to regenerate run energy and grants access to various shortcuts.
For the fastest rates, players should always run and use stamina potions (or another form of energy restoration) to maintain run energy. Keeping your weight at 0 or below is helpful, but not necessary. It is recommended to boost your Agility level with summer pies or agility potions to train on higher-level courses earlier. Players with low Hitpoints who are failing obstacles frequently should bring food.

Fastest Experience
Early levels can be bypassed by completing quests that give Agility experience. Completing The Tourist Trap (using experience on Agility twice), Recruitment Drive, The Depths of Despair, and The Grand Tree will grant a total of 19,700 experience, getting you from level 1 to 33.
These quests are easily done at a low level with few requirements, though they all involve some combat. Notably, the experience from The Tourist Trap alone is enough to get from level 1 to 26, and is significantly faster than training on low-level Agility courses.
The Brimhaven Agility Arena offers the fastest experience from level 20 to 47. A 200 coin entry fee is required. While level 40 is needed for all obstacles, the Floor spikes trap provides the best experience and only requires level 20. By repeatedly using this trap, players can gain up to 30,000 XP/hr, even from level 15 by boosting with a Summer pie. Bringing food is advised as you will occasionally fail.
Approximately every 60 seconds, a pillar will activate (marked with a yellow arrow). Tagging it improves XP rates and rewards Agility arena tickets, which can be traded to Pirate Jackie the Fruit for more experience.
At level 40, you can complete all obstacles, achieving 45,000-50,000 XP/hr by tagging every pillar. Wearing Karamja gloves 2 or higher increases all experience gains in the arena by 10%.
The Wilderness Agility Course is fastest from level 47 to 62. It normally requires level 52, but can be boosted from 47 with a summer pie. Note that level 49 is required for the pipe obstacle, so you may need to re-boost occasionally.
The easiest travel method is an Ice Plateau Teleport tablet. As this is in deep Wilderness, minimize your risk. Bring summer pies for boosting and healing, a knife to slash webs, and weight-reducing gear like Boots of lightness.
This method can also be a lucrative money maker due to drops of alchables, noted blighted items, and medium clue scrolls.
The Hallowed Sepulchre offers the fastest experience from level 62 onwards, requiring completion of Sins of the Father. The minigame involves running through floors while avoiding traps, which requires practice and good timing.
The activity becomes highly profitable at level 92 Agility, where you can loot the final Grand Hallowed Coffin. The average hourly profit is 1,798,415 GP, mainly from the ring of endurance.
For 200 hallowed marks, you can unlock a private instance from the Mysterious Stranger, which makes trap rotations predictable and increases long-term experience rates.

Recommended Stats for Looting:
66 Thieving (to loot the final coffin)
56 Construction (for broken bridges)
54 Prayer (for Saradomin braziers)
7+ Magic (for portal frames)
62 Ranged (for pillars)
The experience rates below assume good practice and a private instance. Expect lower rates while learning. The max rate is ~108,000 XP/hr without looting the Grand Coffin.
| Floor | Floor XP | Cumulative XP | Avg. Time (s) | Downtime (s) | XP/hr (Grand Coffin) | XP/hr (F4-F5 Loot) | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 52 | 575 | 575 | 31 | 15 | 45,000 | 45,000 |
| 2 | 62 | 925 | 1,500 | 41 | 9 | 56,300 | 56,300 |
| 3 | 72 | 1,600 | 3,100 | 58 | 8 | 68,900 | 68,900 |
| 4 | 82 | 2,875 | 5,975 | 100 | 8 | 79,700 | 75,000 |
| 5 | 92 | 5,725 | 11,700 | 136 | 22 | 98,500 | 85,800 |

Rooftop Agility Courses are slower but less attention-intensive alternatives. While training, you can find marks of grace, which can be used to purchase the graceful outfit or be converted into amylase crystals for profit. Each mark is worth approximately 9,150 coins.
The low-intensity nature of rooftop courses allows you to train other skills simultaneously, such as casting High Level Alchemy or Fletching dart tips.
Marks of grace despawn after 10 minutes, so pick them up promptly. However, on the Ardougne Rooftop Course, marks spawn on a single tile, causing them to stack and reset the timer. The spawn rate of marks is reduced by 80% if your Agility level is 20 levels higher than the course's requirement.[1]

| Levels | Course | XP/hr | /hr | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1–20 | Draynor Village | 9,000–10,000 | 11.0–12.4 | 38 laps required to reach level 20. |
| 20–30 | Al Kharid | 11,000–12,000 | 10.4–11.4 | |
| 30–40 | Varrock | 11,000–14,000 | 8.4–10.8 | |
| 40–50/60 | Canifis | 14,000–17,000 | 12.8–15.5 | Best marks of grace rate. Mark spawn rate does not decrease at higher levels. |
| 50–60 | Falador | 29,000–34,000 | 9.7–11.3 | |
| 60–70 | Seers' Village | 50k–56k (Hard Diary) | 14.3–16.0 (Hard Diary) | Kandarin Hard Diary unlocks a teleport next to the start for the best rates. |
| 70–80/90 | Pollnivneach | 53k–58k (Hard Diary) | 13.0–14.0 | Desert Hard Diary is required for the best rates. |
| 80–90 | Rellekka | 59k–63k (Hard Diary) | 13.0–15.5 | Fremennik Hard Diary is required for the best rates. |
| 90–99 | Ardougne | 66k–70k | 20.9–22.1 (Elite Diary) | Ardougne Elite Diary significantly increases marks per hour. Marks stack on one tile. |
Repeatedly crossing the monkeybar shortcut in the Edgeville Dungeon offers up to 13,200 experience per hour. With the right camera angle, it is possible to keep the mouse cursor in one spot and continuously click. Because the monkeybars are located in the Wilderness, you may be attacked by player killers.
Barbarian Fishing grants small amounts of passive Agility and Strength experience. Training Fishing from level 58 to 99 via this method would raise your Agility from level 30 to 74. If you plan to train Fishing this way, it's best to do it before dedicated Agility training to skip the slower, early methods.
The Agility Pyramid is a profitable way to train. Each lap awards a Pyramid top, which can be sold to Simon Templeton for 10,000 coins.
- Levels 30-50: ~25,000 XP/hr & 130,000 GP/hr
- Levels 70-99: ~44,000 XP/hr & 260,000 GP/hr

The Brimhaven Agility Arena can also be trained by collecting Agility arena tickets from tagged dispensers. Each ticket can be exchanged for experience, with a 10% bonus for wearing Karamja gloves 2 or higher.
Experience rates scale with your level, reaching up to 67,000 XP/hr at level 99. A very AFK method involves repeatedly using the Rockfall obstacle, which can achieve ~40,000 XP/hr.
After Chapter 2 of Monkey Madness I, the Ape Atoll Agility Course becomes a viable option. You must wear a ninja monkey greegree or Kruk greegree to use the course.
Experience rates start around 30,000-35,000 XP/hr at level 48 and increase to 55,000 XP/hr at level 75, at which point you stop failing obstacles. Completing 2,000 laps also unlocks all cosmetic Monkey Backpacks.
The Shayzien Advanced Agility Course is an alternative for players who cannot access Ape Atoll or wish to avoid the Wilderness. It requires a crossbow and a mith grapple, and provides around 35,000 experience per hour at level 45.
The Colossal Wyrm Agility Course is a less click-intensive course that offers an alternative way to get Amylase crystals. It also rewards blessed bone shards for Prayer XP and Termites, which can be traded for a unique graceful recolor and other items.
- Basic Route (Lv 50+): up to 30,000 XP/hr.
- Advanced Route (Lv 62+): up to 41,000 XP/hr. This route requires only 6 clicks per 60-second lap and has two 20-second AFK sections.
The Werewolf Agility Course is a good alternative for both experience and marks of grace. It requires completion of Creature of Fenkenstrain and wearing a ring of charos.
With good concentration, rates can reach up to 70,000 XP/hr at high levels (especially if trapping the NPC with an alt). Players can also expect about 10–15 marks of grace per hour. The chance of failure is significantly reduced at level 72 Agility and removed entirely at level 80 (if under 2kg).
After completing Song of the Elves, the Prifddinas Agility Course becomes available. It's a less click-intensive option where players can find crystal shards by using randomly appearing portals.
Experience rates reach up to 65,000 XP/hr at level 90+. At maximum efficiency, you can also collect about 48.5 crystal shards per hour, worth approximately 812,738 GP if used to create divine super combat potions.
